    Practitioner agreement

    Last updated: 7 October 2026

A plain-language agreement for therapists using Calm Corner with their clients. Please also read our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and data protection summary.

    1. About this agreement

This agreement applies to anyone who uses a Calm Corner practitioner plan (Solo or Group), including founding practitioners. It sits alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. By starting a practitioner plan, you agree to it.

    2. Calm Corner is a support tool, not treatment

Calm Corner offers self-help resources and practice tools. It is not a clinical record system, a crisis service or a replacement for your professional judgement. You stay fully responsible for your clinical work, your assessments and your duty of care to clients.

Please make sure clients know that Calm Corner is not monitored in real time and that they should use emergency or crisis services if they are at risk.

    3. Who is responsible for data

Calm Corner is the data controller for client accounts, because clients sign up and use the app directly.

You are the data controller for anything you add about a client: their email address when you invite them, the worksheets you create and assign, and your private notes. Calm Corner processes this information only to provide the service to you.

You must have a lawful basis to invite a client by email, and you should tell clients that you use Calm Corner as part of your work with them.

    4. What you can and cannot see

You can see a client's email address, whether their place is active, which worksheets you've assigned them and when they opened them.

You can only see which grounding techniques a client has used if the client has switched on activity sharing themselves. They can turn this off at any time.

You can never see a client's journal entries, quiz results, bookmarks or other personal content.

    5. Private notes

Notes you add to a client are visible only to you. Keep them brief and factual, and don't use Calm Corner as your main clinical record. You are responsible for keeping your own records in line with your professional body's requirements.

    6. Client places

Each place is for one person. Don't share invite codes publicly or between clients. When a client's place ends (because you remove them or your plan ends), they keep Premium for 30 days and then lose it, unless they choose to subscribe themselves.

    7. Your account and branding

Keep your sign-in details secure. Any logo you upload must be yours or one you have permission to use. It is shown only to you and the clients you've assigned.

    8. Payments and cancelling

Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your practitioner dashboard. Your access continues until the end of the period you've paid for. See our refund policy for details.

Founding practitioners get a free first year with no card details taken. We'll email you about a month before it ends, and we may contact you for feedback during the year.

    9. Ending this agreement

We may suspend a practitioner account that is misused, for example through sharing codes publicly or uploading content you have no right to use. You can delete your account at any time. Your notes and worksheets are then removed.

    10. Changes

If we make important changes to this agreement, we'll let you know by email before they take effect.
